Twenty years of running programs — virtualization, network architecture, and distributed device fleets at enterprise scale, plus the web and analytics that sit on top of all of it. When the program management function didn’t exist yet, I stood it up from scratch: intake, portfolio reporting, staffing, and the operating cadence that makes it stick.

Profile

Program management, close to the metal.

I run infrastructure programs — the ones that touch racks, radios, network gear, and the applications that sit above them. Most of the work involves getting hardware, software, and store operations to agree on the same reality, then keeping that agreement visible while it changes.

I like programs where the outcome means the same thing to the operator on the floor and the VP on the slide — same numbers, same story.

My last decade has been at Nordstrom, running programs inside Technology Support Services and the Infrastructure Services Group. Before that, I spent years in commercial banking systems and store technology consulting.

Some of it is people work: getting store leads, network engineers, DBAs, and product managers onto the same plan. Some of it is technical: sizing a data platform, choosing between RFID sled vendors, deciding when Power Apps is enough and when it isn't. Most of the value comes from doing both at the same time, without pretending one is the other.

I write documentation people actually read, I build the dashboards I promise, and I don't ship a program until the operating model behind it is real. When something doesn't work, I say so early.

2019 – 2020 · Infrastructure

Virtualization & DHCP consolidation.

Retired legacy Windows DHCP infrastructure onto a virtualized platform serving hundreds of stores. Standardized scope configuration, reservations, and failover so field engineers stopped inheriting one-off exceptions from prior projects.

Result Fewer network incidents at store open. The on-call engineer could actually reason about the DHCP layer instead of guessing at it.

2023 – 2026 · Hardware · RFID

Distributed hardware & RFID rollout.

Program-managed the rollout of RFID sleds, handhelds, and mobile printers to Nordstrom Rack stores. Owned readiness across store ops, network, security, and vendor partners so each wave shipped on the same checklist.

Result A predictable rollout cadence and a device fleet the field could inventory instead of guess at.

2023 – 2024 · Governance

Technology Support Services PMO design & standup.

Designed the Technology Support Services PMO from a blank page. Wrote the operating model, published the RACIs, ran the first two quarters of governance, and got intake and roadmap reviews down to a single cadence instead of three competing ones.

Result One intake, one roadmap view across a group that had been running three of each.

2025 – 2026 · Asset tracking

Asset Tracking Platform.

Built an internal Power Apps platform for hardware check-in / check-out and RFID audit across Nordstrom Rack — full data model in SharePoint, 113 DAX measures for utilization and loss trending, POC at two stores.

Result The real finding was that asset tracking breaks down at 305-store scale without an enforcement mechanism we didn't have. Rather than ship something that would've quietly failed, I cancelled the program and left the close-out documentation clean enough that whoever picks this up next doesn't start from zero — the report was adopted as an ISG template.

2022 – 2023 · Portfolio reporting

Infrastructure portfolio dashboards.

Built the reporting layer for the ISS TIW portfolio — status, spend, and delivery risk across a rolling book of infrastructure programs. Consolidated inputs from Jira, ServiceNow, and finance so the monthly review ran on one source of truth.

Result Portfolio reviews that started with data instead of arguments about the data.

2020 – 2021 · Web / Edge

Web & mobile platform programs.

Ran cross-functional delivery on nordstrom.com programs — the homepage redesign, buy-online-pickup-in-store launch, and the store-ops work that had to be ready before either of those could go live. I owned the infra and store technology thread underneath the storefront.

Result Shipped on plan through peak season with the store side ready before the marketing calendar said go.
